"Say it with a Smile"

That's the name of a local band.
They rock.

Its Jaron and Katherine's band, by the way (plus a few other folks you'll recognize from Sunday mornings).

And they are playing at Huber's (on Church St.) this Saturday night.
8pm, more or less.

Come hang out, have a drink with us, and hear some really good music! I think their music goes well with a Merlot, but others tend to pair it with a Fat Tire or a Guiness.

I don't think there is a cover charge, but you do have to have to be 21. Not sure if there is an maximum age....

  2. Forgive me for interrupting this lighthearted blog but, Pastor Keeble, I've been waiting for your blog entry on President Obama's stance on abortion. Now that he's signed an executive order and our tax money is going to fund abortion around the world, I'm really curious what your thoughts are.

  3. I think this is the first time I've had an invitation to a bar from the church. Not a problem; Jesus drank wine and also enjoyed times with his friends.

  6. Man, I wish I could make it. Sounds like a fantastic time. Although I'm a little confused about what I'm being invited to... What I read was an invitation to live music, right? This happens to be taking place at a venue serving alcohol, with entrance limited to ages 21 and up. So the decision to drink wine, beer or another beverage of your choosing is up to the individual. An individual choice? Hmm... novel idea.

  7. Brent,
If I learned anything from my lost foray into politics on this blog, its that an awful lot of people get far more worked up about defending their politic ideology than they do about loving their neighbor. You're request for my opinion sounds a bit like an invitation to receive a sucker punch to the gut. So I'm gonna stick to challenging people to love their neighbor. If you'd like to have a genuine discussion about political issues, perhaps we could arrange a small group to read and discuss together the book titled "God's Politics".

    interested?
